Can't be stuffed hitting the kitchen on Christmas Day? Or maybe you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a delicious Yum Cha for family lunch?

There aren't too many places remaining open on Christmas Day in the capital, but luckily, a few key restaurants and bars will be dishing up the goods, ready to whet your whistle and fill your belly with a champagne breakfast, long lunch or festive dinner.

Dragons Yum Cha, Wellington Central: Lunch from 11am–2.30pm, dinner from 5–10pm.

Frankie's Bar and Eatery, Atura: First lunch sitting from 11:30am–1pm, second lunch sitting from 1.30–3pm, first dinner sitting from 5–6.30pm, second dinner sitting 7–8.30pm.

Majestic Cuisine, Te Aro: Lunch from 11am–2pm, dinner from 5–9.30pm.

Portlander, Wellington Central: Buffet lunch from 12–3.30pm, buffet dinner from 6–9pm.

Jardin Grill at the Sofitel, Wellington Central: Lunch from 12–2.30pm, dinner from 6–9pm.

GPO Restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel, Wellington Central: Lunch from 12.30–2pm, dinner from 5.30–8pm.

Tutaki Cafe, Lower Hutt: Buffet lunch from 11.30am–3pm.
