By popular demand, Paper Bird's weekend brunch is back in action. It's returning this weekend on Saturday, April 7, and will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

The old brekkie menu has been completely reimagined by chefs and co-owners Ben Sears and Eun Hee An to better complement their all-day offering. This means contemporary East Asian-style dishes that take inspiration from Korea, China and Japan. Expect dishes like a pork katsu sandwich served on thickly sliced white bread with a side of slaw; pipis with miso butter and rye toast; XO arancini; and crab wontons with chilli and black vinegar.

With the 10am liquor licence comes a cocktail list designed, by co-owner Ned Brooks, for morning sipping. On it there's a Korean bloody mary and a Campari and iced filtered coffee concoction. Also available is an 85-label, natural-leaning wine list, sake and craft beer, along with coffees by Single O.

The offering is a welcome change-up to your typical Aussie brunch and we'll happily usher in its return.
